Take a look at this article from Examiner.com, featuring Hug-a-Bunny Rabbit Rescue, Inc., about how you can help rabbits in need!
Excerpt from the story:
"If you're considering adding a new long eared, furry family member to your home, please consider adoption! Many people don't realize that there are millions of rabbits in rescues in shelters across the United states in need of new homes. After dogs and cats, rabbits are, sadly, the third most common type of animal found in animal shelters. There are many benefits to adopting a rabbit over buying one from a pet store or breeder. For a small adoption fee, which helps offset rescue costs, you can adopt a rabbit in need of a new home. All Hug-a-Bunny bunnies are spayed or neutered and litter box trained before going to their new homes!"
